As we make our way through Spring, we can feel the love in the air! Inspired by the upcoming spring wedding season, we collaborated with our friends from terrain gatherings to bring three elegant, garden-inspired designs to life at their beautiful event space in Glen Mills, PA. From soft to metallic to vintage-inspired to glam, each design speaks to different couples’ styles and tells a unique story, while still tying back into terrain’s home-meets-garden vision.
We interviewed the terrain team to learn more about their story and the inspiration for this shoot. Take a look!
Tell us a little about yourself and what you do in the industry.
Deeply rooted in nature and plant life, terrain is inspired by the idea of merging house and garden to create an experience for all of the senses, to shape a life lived outside and in. Our gatherings reflect the cycle of the seasons and the bounty of the land, capturing the beauty of all things grown. At each of our locations, a picturesque, horticultural setting is paired with menus inspired by local growers and the seasonal harvest

Look #1: Violet
With this look, we hoped to inspire our luxe brides and play up elements of contrast. Layering feminine pieces such as the Aurora Violet Glass charger with the utilitarian tones of the Grey Metal Bistro chair, and the clean, modern aesthetic of the Vanderbilt Gold flatware with the textured vintage appeal of the Pink Regency goblet. The tension of hard and soft was further explored with the styling of the table, where we paired copper metal details with soft, finely textured greenery to prove that pink and purple hues can be subtle yet impactful.
Look #2: Metallic
Proving that feminine doesn’t need to be pink, we wanted to create a look that offered a feeling of subtle and restrained luxury. The Brushed Gold charger really set the tone with it’s impactful metallic sheen, upon which we layered a White Matte Aster plate and the Confetti Cocktail plate, for a dash of whimsical modern glamour. The Chestnut Cross Back chair offered the perfect amount of traditional formality while the spare, yet dimensional, table styling kept the whole look feeling fresh and clean.
Look #3: Blue & Grey
Calling out to our botanical brides, we curated a streamlined vintage look. We loved the Tin Chop plate paired with the crispness of the Grey Matte Aster plate to pop off of the richness of the Walnut Mason table. The Sedona flatware was grouped for an unexpected utilitarian approach, while the saturated hues of the Sapphire Sussex goblet kept everything feeling festive. The Walnut Bentwood chair was the perfect piece to keep the whole look simple and authentic.
Thank you so much to our friends at Terrain Gatherings for being such wonderful partners on this beautiful shoot!
