“The biggest trend, and honestly shift in the industry overall, is a return to exceptional hospitality,” said Catalina Rojo, Owner of Celebrations by Catalina. “Clients and their guests love a high-touch experience and appreciate when their needs are met at every turn – as they would receive at a Michelin-star restaurant. This trickles down to the bar and tablescape with little touches like the addition of personal salt & pepper shakers at each place setting, providing appropriate glassware for the wine being poured for each course, and ensuring flawless service with mixologists who take the extra time to balance the perfect cocktail.”
Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold lacquer, offers a unique and elegant theme for event design. Catalina incorporated this philosophy by combining the textural gold accents in the Lugano linens with the Ellis Gold and Black flatware and Peri marble chargers, set on groups of round tables in serval sizes. The moss and the meadow of branchy florals popping up from the center completed the look.

A wedding inspired by impressionism evokes a sense of romance, spontaneity, and the beauty found in everyday moments. We drew inspiration from this art movement characterized by loose brushstrokes and the play of light and wanted to incorporate themes within the design to include echoes of water and glass, loose pastel-colored florals, and an undone luxury vibe.”

“There are many elements that come to mind when envisioning a New England holiday party: Evergreen wreaths, a classic color palette, and cozy environment. I like to think about ways I can transform tradition through bold, eclectic choices, intentionally mismatching patterns and textures. It’s a fun challenge to reimagine traditional designs with a contemporary twist, and I think the reclamation of the bow recently is a perfect example of taking something classic and giving it a modern edge. In this tablescape we took the progression of the bow one step further – unraveling it from its prim shape and allowing it to flow freely as trailing ribbons.”
