We’ve introduced so many exciting, new products into our collection this year, and, to show their versatility, we used them to craft fresh inspiration with “I do” in mind. With the beautiful Bedell Cellars as the backdrop, we created a complete wedding design that’s laid back yet elegant with a touch of quintessential Hamptons charm. From the intimate ceremony to a comfy post-dinner lounge, each element is attainable and features the newest additions to our collection.
Bedell Cellars, located on the North Fork of Long Island, New York, is known for both their critically-acclaimed wines and stunning grounds that set the scene for so many special moments, weddings, and events throughout the year. Senior Vice President of Events Amy Finno Israel says, “Each space at Bedell Cellars has its own personality and intimacy. I love the flow of the space: there are three separate areas to have the ceremony, cocktail party, and reception, so it really feels like you’re travelling around the entire property. Because of this flow, guests don’t see the reception until the big reveal, and it’s amazing watching their faces light up as they walk towards the Pavilion.”
Working with Bedell’s unique flow and Sag Harbor Florist’s gorgeous floral, we set a ceremony in the Orchard, a cocktail hour on the West Lawn, and a mock reception in the Pavilion using new pieces and client-favorites alike. As a bonus, we even set an additional Private Dinner inspired look with our rectangular Country Dining Table. Ceremony
Using our Garden Bistro Folding Chairs, complete with cushions for extra comfort, we set a mock ceremony in the Orchard in front of Bedell’s iconic, century-old tree. According to Amy, “The tree is original to the property and special to our clients — they like to have fun with it and incorporate it into their big day.” The Garden Bistro Folding Chairs are a newer addition to our chair collection, an alternative to the classic Wood Folding Chair, that offer a simple silhouette that’s full of character.

Cocktail Hour
Moving to the West Lawn with the vineyard vista, we created a cocktail hour with a mix of low seating and high cocktail tables where guests could mix and mingle. We used a mix of patterned and solid linens. Seeing the linens in the space, Amy noted, “Many clients like to use neutrals in their designs, but I’d love to see people play with pattern more and have fun. It looked gorgeous!”
The centerpiece of the cocktail hour is our Emerson Bar, which makes a bold and handsome statement. Since Bedell’s wine would surely be the highlight of the service, we chose The ONE glasses for the cocktail hour so that guests could fully enjoy the body and flavor of the wines, pleasing even the most discerning winos.

Somerset Lounge for Cocktails or After Party
Creating custom lounges for your space gives guests a comfy place to rest and recharge, so we used our modular Somerset collection to create a U-shaped sectional with a center Coffee Table. Since the space may be used while the sun is still out, we paired the outdoor furniture with one of our coordinating Market Umbrellas to create a shady spot. Amy notes, “Clients have started asking about lounges to give guests a place to take a break and, after the sun sets, stargaze during a quiet moment.” We completed the look with custom Pillows in coordinating patterns and colors to help bring the lounge to life.

Seated Reception
The 200-person Pavilion overlooks the vineyard and acts as the backdrop for our mock reception. We offered two looks for inspiration.
The first look features a mix of our new Round and Square Country Dining Tables that give varied looks and completed with our White Xavier Chairs. Amy loved seeing the Xavier Chairs in the space, stating, “The Chestnut Cross Back Chairs are a natural choice for the space, but the White Xavier Chairs proved that the chair doesn’t alway have to match the venue. I like they way they stand out!”

The second look was the epitome of rustic elegance, styled around our new Camille Print linen. The turquoise damask pattern is printed on a neutral rattan fabric for a look that’s beyond burlap.

Private Dinner
Whether you’re styling for a rehearsal dinner, brunch, or just a private dining moment, we styled a versatile, bonus look for inspiration featuring our popular rectangular Country Dining Table. To add a pop of color, we used a full-size Teal Velveteen linen to create a ruched runner, which Amy felt “gave added depth and texture to the look.” Our new Eleanor Etched glasses and textured Brooks and Dolores votives added extra detailed touches to the look.

When we caught up with Amy after the shoot, she said that she was thrilled to see so many textures and colors in the space. “My tip is: don’t be afraid to think out of the box, incorporate color, and use different products.” And when asked how Bedell Cellars brings a client’s vision to life, her answer was simple, “It’s very much a team effort. When clients and couples do their first walkthrough, you can see their wheels turning as they take in the raw space. We listen to their thoughts, show them how their inspiration fits within our unique space, and help pair them with vendors, like you, to help them bring that vision to life. It’s all about the teamwork!”
