Recently, we had the pleasure of collaborating with a talented team of partners – SaRue Event Design, The Catered Affair, Silver Whisk Bake Shop, Winston Flowers, and Yoke Media – to showcase the remarkable potential of SoWa Power Station’s Mezzanine. Together, we brought to life four stunning event designs that offer inspiration for spring weddings and intimate dinners.
Look # 1 | Urban Luxury Inspired Wedding

“The inspiration behind this wedding look was a fusion of the raw, edgy aesthetics of the industrial setting with the soft, romantic vibes of spring,” said Samantha Curtis, Owner of SaRue Event Design. “SoWa Power Station, with its exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and metal accents, provided the perfect backdrop for a classic Boston chic theme. The color palette drew inspiration from Boston’s signature red-brick backdrop, interlacing it with lush greens and delicate peach hues that subtly mirror the Public Gardens in their spring bloom.”

“Created for the couple seeking to bridge old-world elegance with modern flair, this was a free-spirited celebration with vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and bohemian-inspired decor. The Metropolis Round Back Bar featured an ombre arrangement of cocktails in tones of yellow, peach, and pink with loose greenery and florals to accent. The design concept featured vibrant tones inspired by the Mediterranean coast with soft touches of pastels.”

The gradient pink, orange, and yellow cocktail wall brought together by the Catered Affair played a pivotal role in the wedding design. Displayed on Party Rental Ltd.’s Metropolis Back Bar, the hues echoed a spring sunrise, infusing the space with warmth as well as engaging guests as an interactive element.

One of the most essential elements when selecting decor elements is providing a cohesive design throughout the space. In this design we incorporated the customer’s love for bows by using a unique bow fold with Party Rental Ltd.’s Ocean Shantung napkins to add a touch of elegance to the tablescape. We carried over this design element to the Peach Fuzz toned dessert tablescape artfully arranged by The Catered Affair featuring an array of sweet treats.
