Known around the world as the authoritative source on colors, Pantone took everyone by surprise this year when they announced that not one, but two colors were being blended together to create their singular color of the year. According to their website, blending Rose Quartz (a warm rose tone) and Serenity (a tranquil blue) is not only a reflection of a “gender blur as it relates to fashion,” but it also “challenges traditional perceptions of color association.”
